UG Mine Design Fundamentals
Integration of mine planning, material characterisation and mine water management using a new framework.
The mine design fundamentals workshop will be aimed at equipping students and young mining professionals with an understanding of important considerations, principles, practises and rules of thumb related to Underground mine design. The workshop will cover principals of:
- Mine Economics
- Development and Infrastructure design
- Stoping design
- Large scale and specialised mine design
This will be an interactive workshop and will cover practical applications of key concepts and feature case studies and examples from underground operations.

Caving and Ventilation Professional at Resolve Mining Solutions
Claudia is an experienced Principal Mining Consultant who has worked in both underground and open cut operations gaining exposure to all stages of the mining cycle from order of magnitude and feasibility planning through to project execution, operations and mine closure planning. Claudia specialises in block caving and sublevel caving operations.
Matt Stone
Embedded Manager at Resolve Mining Solutions
Matt is a motivated and passionate mining professional with extensive technical and operational experience across a number of operations and commodities in Australia. Matt Specializes in underground sub-level open stoping operations.
